Chairman Needed!!

Group Chairman

After a number of years with the Group our current Chairman, Ian Grimes, has decided to step down. At first this came as quite a blow to the Group but as Ian said “it gives us an opportunity to find a new replacement who will undoubtedly bring new ideas and new inspiration to Marden Scout Group”.

The Executive Committee meet every 2 months and is made up of the section leaders, parent representatives and non- uniformed trustees such as Secretary and Treasurer. Led by the Chairman, the Executive Committee is like a board of governors in a school; essentially it makes sure that the best quality Scouting is delivered to young people in the local area.

Scouting experience is not necessary but if you or someone that you know can spare a few hours a month, be able to work as part of a team, can speak your mind and listen to the views of others, can think creatively, help solve problems, maintain independent & objective judgement, motivate others and encourage participation then please contact me to discuss the role further or e-mail us on mardenscouts@hotmail.co.uk with any questions you may have.
