Christmas Volunteers needed!!

After the success of 2017, where £350 was raised for Marden Scout Group, The Paddock Wood and District Lions Club are again bringing their Santa Sleigh to delight the children of Marden on Monday 3rd, Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th of December (routes each night TBC).

Volunteers are needed to accompany the brightly lit and musical sleigh on its journey around the village, handing out gifts and collecting donations. All those present must be aged 16+ (unfortunately you can’t bring younger children with you). Volunteers meet at 4.30 pm in a central village location, and the rounds finish well before 7 pm.

Please check your calendar and sign up in the comments on our Facebook post or alternatively contact Frances Weir on frances_weir@hotmail.com, indicating the night(s) you can help with. The share of the proceeds we receive depends directly on the number of volunteers we provide.

This is a fun, festive and social way of raising a very decent amount of money for the Group so please volunteer (or volunteer a family member!) if you are able to at all, we do need as many people as possible.

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Frances for organising our participation for another year, without the help and support of volunteers at events such as this the Scout Group would not be able to provide all the fun and adventure our young members deserve.
